Berlitz corporate services include professional language validations and testing services which can assist and facilitate your decision takers when hiring new people, deciding for transfers of employees, salary adjustments and promotions. Berlitz offers a full range of language proficiency testing services including speaking, writing, listening and reading assessments. 

All scores are based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) ranging from A1 (basic) to C2 (Proficient).

The Berlitz Test of Speaking skills is designed for institutions that require a reliable way of evaluating the oral language ability of potential or current employees. The test is conducted by a qualified Berlitz Rater and is in the form of a 15-20 minute telephone conversation.  The Berlitz Rater assesses the language abilities in terms of fluency, grammar accuracy, linguistic range and phonological control. The Rater sets up a context for the conversation and asks questions progressing from familiar everyday topics to more business related. The test is available in more than 40 languages.

The Berlitz Test of Listening and Reading skills is a convenient and cost-effective online tool that measures an individual’s language skills. The assessment is easily accessible from any computer with an internet connection and is offered in five languages (English, German, Spanish, French and Italian). The test measures the language abilities in terms of grammar accuracy, vocabulary and listening and reading skills. Results are sent on email immediately after the test.

The Berlitz Test of Writing skills is a language proficiency test that accurately measures the writing skills of employees or applicants in a workplace. The test includes three tasks – writing a business e-mail, writing a memo and writing a report and measures task fulfillment, idea organization, language use and grammatical accuracy.  The assessment is conducted by a qualified Berlitz Rater and is currently available in 11 languages.
